About Natural Living Homecare

We help people stay in the home they love.

Natural Living Homecare was built on one belief. Growing older should not cost you your independence, your dignity or your front door key.

Meet Mumino Issack

Mumino Issack founded Natural Living Homecare after years of watching the same story play out. A family would notice a parent slowing down, ask around for help, and be told the simplest answer was to move them somewhere else.

For a lot of families, that answer never sat right. The house held the garden, the neighbors, the kitchen where the grandchildren always ended up. Leaving it felt less like safety and more like loss.

So Mumino built the alternative. An agency that sends caregivers who are trained, screened and genuinely kind, and that treats the family as part of the team rather than a problem to manage. The name says the goal out loud. Natural living. Life carrying on in its own place and at its own pace, with the right support quietly added.

Today the agency serves families throughout Kent and the surrounding King County communities, caring for older adults, adults recovering at home and children with disabilities.

Our philosophy

What natural living actually means

Natural living means care that fits into a life already in progress. It does not reorganize the kitchen, rewrite the routine or take over decisions that are not ours to make.

In practice that looks simple. We ask what time you like to wake up. We learn which chair is yours. We cook the food you grew up with. We ask before we help, and we let you do everything you can still do yourself, because using your strength is how you keep it.

It also means being honest. If we think you need more help than we provide, we will say so. If a different service fits better, we will point you there. Families making a hard decision deserve straight information, not a sales pitch.

We believe aging should not mean giving up independence, dignity or the comfort of home.

Dignity first

We knock before we enter. We ask before we help. We speak to you, not about you. Dignity is not a nice extra, it is the whole point of care at home.

Natural living

The best care works with your life instead of replacing it. Your routine, your food, your faith, your neighborhood. We fit around all of it.

Dependable

Care only works if the caregiver shows up. We staff carefully so schedules hold, and we call you the moment anything changes.

Family included

You are not handing your parent over to us. You stay part of the team, you see the notes and you can reach a real person at the office.

Honest answers

If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you somewhere better. Families deserve straight talk when they are making a hard decision.

Trained and improving

Training does not stop after orientation. Our caregivers keep learning so the care you get this year is better than the care you got last year.

A message from our founder

From the founder

I started Natural Living Homecare because I kept meeting families who were told their only option was to move mom or dad out of the house. That never sat right with me. Home is where people are calmest, safest and most themselves. Our job is to make staying there possible.

We write the plan with you, we introduce the caregiver before the first visit, and we answer the phone. That is the whole promise.

How we hire

The caregiver in your home has been through four gates

You are letting someone into the most private part of your life. Here is exactly what happens before that person ever knocks on your door.

  1. Application and phone screen

We look for experience, reliability and a real reason for wanting this work. Most applicants do not make it past this stage.

  2. In person interview

We meet every caregiver face to face. We talk through real situations and watch how they think about respect, patience and safety.

  3. Background check and references

Washington State background check plus reference checks with previous employers. Credentials required by the state are verified before the first shift.

  4. Training and shadowing

New caregivers complete orientation and continuing training, and they shadow before working alone. Training continues throughout their time with us.

Ongoing supervision. Hiring is only the start. We check in after the first week of every new placement, we visit clients regularly to review the care plan, and we ask families directly whether the match is working. When it is not, we change it.

Licensed and insured

The paperwork families should always ask about

Before you hire any home care agency in Washington, ask for these three things. Here are ours.

Insurance and bonding
Licensed, bonded and insured in Washington State.
Background checks
Every caregiver completes a Washington State background check before their first shift, and credentials required by the state are verified and kept current.
Where we work

Based in Kent, serving south King County

Our office is on Canterbury Ln in Kent. Our caregivers live in the same communities they serve, which is why our schedules hold up on hard weather days.
